Plenty of parking for families or groups. The Wild Turkey is in a gated, quiet community just up the mountain from King St.
Entering the cabin from the front door you walk into the rustic modern great room with large, beautiful windows with plenty of natural light. The open floor plan hosts the full-equipped kitchen with everything you need to prepare gourmet meals, plenty of small kitchen appliances, coffee bar with a traditional coffee brewer and Keurig. Each guest receives a bag of free specialty coffee and goody basket.
Dining room seats 10 with 4 bar seats and 6 at the rustic dining table. Wine cooling refrigerator also provided.
The living room has a real wood burning fireplace, throw blankets and plenty of ceiling. Enjoy mountain relaxation and hear the crackling fire while watching a movie of the smart TV or connecting with your loved ones over one of the many board games.
Right outside the living room you will find a large back deck with a 4 seater dining table and propane grill. Grill out listening to the Bluetooth speaker and looking over the private, wood lot with seasonal view of the blue ridge mountains.
Primary master suite is located on the main floor for easy access. Suite is equipped with a brand new, premium mattress, luxury linens, and extra pillows and blankets for a wonderful nights sleep. En-suite bathroom with double vanity and large walk in closet and pack n play for families with littles.
Take the stairs down to the cozy basement and enter the 2nd living room with couch, smart TV and access to the lower deck where you will find the brand new 7-8 person hot tub. Stairs will lead to large backyard where kids can play and get their energy out while the parents enjoy conversations in the cabin.
Two additional bedrooms are located in the lower level. The second king suite with extra seating and private en-suite renovated bathroom. Room is equipped with new king mattress, linens, AC unit and smart TV.
The beautiful designed kids bunk room has 4 twin beds between the bunk beds with trundle and additional twin bed. Plenty of pillows and linens and leather couch with extra seating to read books or hang out in with friends / siblings in the kids playroom.
En-suite Jack ‘n Jill full bathroom with access from the bunk room and the living room.
Household supplies, linens, bath and hot tub towels provided. If your reservation is for more than three days you may want to bring additional toilet paper and paper. Please reserve prior by messaging us through the app and we send a request for payment prior to checkin.
Early or late checkouts provided with prior communication, based on availability. Checking prior to 2pm would be an additional $75 checking in at or $100 from 9am, if available. Additional fees for late checkout based on time needed (if available).
Guest will have access to the entire property and to the small lake / pond across the street. No fishing is allowed.
Due to incline of road to the cabin from King St, 4WD or AWD is recommended in winter months.
Please note: This property does not have Central HVAC or splits. It stays comfortable through cool mountain air and natural ventilation, so we recommend opening windows and enjoying the fresh breeze.

The wood stove in the basement living room is not currently in use. For fires please use the wood burning fireplace in the living room. We do not provide so you will need to bring your own.
House rules
We maintain a strict no-pet policy on the property. In case of unauthorised pet a fee of $150 per pet per night will be charged.
No smoking in the house. A $1500 air remediation fee will be charged if smoking indoors occurs.
☕ Kitchen Appliances
- Coffee Bar: We offer both a traditional drip coffee maker and a Keurig machine for your morning brew. Please ensure the coffee pot is emptied and rinsed, and the machine is turned off or unplugged upon departure.
- Dishwasher: For your convenience, please load all used dishes into the dishwasher and start a cycle before you check out.
- Wine Cooling Refrigerator: A dedicated wine fridge is available to keep your beverages perfectly chilled.
- Propane Grill: Enjoy outdoor cooking on the back deck with our propane grill. The propane tank is regularly topped up for your use.
🔥 Fireplace
- Our cabin features a beautiful wood-burning fireplace in the main living room. This is the only fireplace guests are permitted to use.
- Please remember to bring your own firewood.
- The wood stove in the basement living room is strictly off-limits to guests.
🛁 Hot Tub
- Relax in our spacious 7-8 person hot tub located on the lower deck.
- To open the hot tub cover, simply squeeze the cord and press the button.
🧺 Laundry
- A washer and dryer are available for your use.
- Upon departure, please take all used white bath towels and striped hot-tub towels to the laundry area and start the first wash load. Any other soiled linens can be placed on the floor in front of the washer. Please do not strip the beds.
📺 Entertainment & Connectivity
- Smart TVs: Enjoy your favorite shows and movies on the Smart TVs in both the main living room and the basement living room.
- Bluetooth Speaker: A Bluetooth speaker is provided on the back deck for your outdoor enjoyment.
- Wi-Fi: Stay connected with our complimentary Wi-Fi. The network name is Running Deer / 166guest.
