Modern 4 bed, 3 full bath modern cabin with any amenity you could ask for. We have tried to think of everything to make your stay convenient and enjoyable. The home is over 3,000 square feet expanded over three levels for plenty of space for multiple families or large groups.
On the main floor you will find the fully stocked kitchen and one of the two dining areas, one of the primary bedrooms with e suite bathroom, massive 2 story great room with several seats area, stone / gas fireplace, extra long dining table, 2 story windows bringing natural light, large smart TV with local stations and streaming apps.
Step outside the living room on the wrap around deck overlooking the expansive yard with large firepit surround by comfortable Adirondack chairs. The patio features a beautiful outdoor sectional, a dining table for outdoor meals, and a propane grill.
On the top level you will find 2 additional bedrooms both with smart TV’s, high-end mattresses, plush linens, plenty of extra pillows and blankets. There is a shared bathroom for the king suite and additional bedroom with 2 queen beds. Around the corner you will find an inviting fitness room equipped with a Peleton bike, TV and more. And to finish off the space, a regulation size shuffleboard table overlooking the main level great room.
Heading downstairs to the basement you will enter the kids zone equipped with a 2nd living room with leather sectional sofa, large smart TV for streaming movies or cartoons, a game room with a ping pong table, dart board, cornhole and games to keep the kids or group of friends entertained. Around the corner there is a bunk room with 5 twin beds, smart TV, bean bags and lots of toys and games.
Step outside and find a 7 person hot tub with nothing but nature surrounding you. The yard is large and wooded making a perfect outdoor space for families. Pictures don’t do it justice. Beech Retreat is a piece of heaven, centrally located on one of the most desirable streets in Beech Mountain.
Enjoy seclusions yet 3 minutes to the entrance of Beech Mountain Ski Resort, multiple restaurants, taverns, and all Beech has to offer.
Smart Lock - code sent a day or two prior to check in
There is plenty of parking for up to 8 cars. During winter months AWD or 4WD is required. You can buy chains for your tires at the base of the mountain as you drive through Banner Elk if needed.
Please note, in case of a cancellation refund, a 3% processing fee will be deducted.
Winter season: lift tickets can be purchased online through Beech Mountain Ski Resort’s website and picked up at ticket booth located beside the main lodge.
Ski Rentals: renting from the ski resort is easiest but if you chose to get your skis elsewhere, we recommend you pick up the day before at any of these places (make reservations well in advance)

Downhill mountain biking just outside the back door. Bike down the bunny slope to base of Beech Mountain lifts. Hiking trails located at the top of Beech Mountain.

A car is needed but your a quick drive away from all the fun of Beech Mountain and quaint town of Banner Elk.
House rules
No smoking inside. A $1500 fee will be charged if guests smokes inside to pay for air remediation.
We are happy to welcome well-behaved dogs to our home at $50 per pet per night which is non refundable & must be paid prior to your check-in. For any unauthorised pet, a pet fee of $100 per pet per night will be charged. Guests are responsible for picking up all pet waste, both indoors and in the yard. Failure to do so will result in an additional cleaning fee.

- Our kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher for your convenience.
- We provide dishwasher detergent for your use.
- At checkout, please load all used dishes and run a cycle.
☕ Coffee Pot
- A drip-style coffee pot is available for your morning brew.
- When checking out, kindly empty, rinse, and turn off/unplug the coffee pot.
🧺 Washer
- You'll find a washer in the guest-accessible laundry area.
- As part of your departure, please place all used towels in the laundry area and start a load.
❄️ Portable Evaporative Coolers
- Please note that Beech Retreat does not have central air conditioning. For your comfort during warmer months, we provide portable evaporative coolers stored in the closets. Here’s how to use them:
Step 1: Pull out the rear-bottom water tank.
Step 2: Fill the tank with cold water.
Step 3: Locate the ice block in the freezer and place it into the back-bottom drawer of the cooler.
Step 4: Reinsert the water tank securely.
Step 5: Plug in the unit and turn it on.
- For optimal cooling performance, remember to refill the water with fresh cold water approximately every 4 hours.
🗑️ Bear-Proof Outdoor Trash Bins
- Beech Mountain has strict rules regarding trash to protect our wildlife. Please follow these instructions carefully:
- Collect all trash from every room and consolidate it into the kitchen bin.
- Tie all trash bags securely.
- Place the tied trash bags inside the designated bear-proof outdoor receptacles.
Important: After placing your trash, please raise the red flag on each bin. This signals to the waste collection service that the bins are ready for pickup.
- Never use a neighbor's trash bins or leave any loose trash outside.
